The Korean Wheelchair Choir

The Korean wheelchair choir consists of the world's first wheelchair-bound disabled people and the conductor himself also wheelchair-bound.

Professor Sang ill Chung, a standing conductor was looking for a meaningful event for the disabled through talent, donation and sponsorship.

Founded on February 20, 2016, the first stage begun on April 16 in Changchun Art Hall, commemorating the 36th Disabled People Day with 50 members.

Since then, they have more than 20 concerts in Korea, Two performances abroad (Austria, Rome, Russia, Alps, etc.)

Currently, we have over 100 members.

Living through much inconveniences as a disabled person, our organization aims to give dreams and hopes to others with disabilities through music in order to strengthen their mental and physical health.
